At the recommendation of someone who doesn't even drink coffee, which would normally have me running the other way, lol, not only was a pleasantly surprised with this shop, but I went back. If you're in the Mission Bay area of San Diego, this is a really cool local spot. Both times I went they were packed and that's always a good sign. There's plenty of parking on the street and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Since it is San Diego, the outdoor seating is almost always good. Although they did not have agave, which is my personal preference for iced coffee, I don't know what honey they are using, but it was really good. Typically, when I use honey it's a little overpowering, but they put in just enough where I still got the predominant coffee flavor for my iced oat milk latte. Quad shot of course and it was really smooth. I already have a favorite local shop in San Diego, but this is quickly becoming my second for sure. Whether you are a local, or visiting the area, it's a great little spot.

Why go to a coffee shop? You can make coffee at home, for less money than it costs to visit a neighborhood shop, and, as a bonus, you'll have more control over the quality of your finished cup, and you'll do it in familiar surroundings. But sometimes, you've just got to change your scenery, y'know? and Bay Park Coffee offers an industrial-meets-cluttered-family-room vibe that, come to think of it, might not be that much different from your house, but the shop smells more like coffee (and tea, and food) than your place does, and that, in itself, might make a visit to the place appealing. Plus which, you can't really make coffee as high-quality as the baristas at Bay Park Coffee, so don't even try. They start with excellent beans from the Zumbar roastery, and then, using high-end equipment and scientific precision, brew, drip, extract and express (real thing) coffees to suit every taste, including yours. Tell me that you're going to stand in your kitchen in your underwear at 6 am and exhibit that level of commitment, and I'll call you a liar to your face. I've been an occasional customer at Bay Park Coffee since early 2015, when it was on the itinerary for that year's annual Caffeine Crawl. The shop has gotten more popular, which means waiting for service, product and a table, so I'm less likely to visit now than I was previously, but when I do, it's always worth the trouble. And there it it... the answer to the question, "Why go to a coffee shop?" "Bay Park Coffee... Always Worth The Trouble". ********** Caffeine Crawl: https://www.caffeinecrawl.com/

Cute local spot! Visited on a Sunday and it was busy but not overwhelmingly so. Good selection of teas and Zumbar coffee. I like how they make all the drinks in batches and then bring them out for everyone on a tray, kinda fun! The breakfast croissant sandwich was tasty if a little overpriced - not sure why the ham version is like $4 more. The bagel sandwich was decent but a little stale. Cute seating inside and lots of tables outside with the sun, although you can hear freeway noise a bit. Overall worth a visit if you are in the area but it's a bit off the beaten path

Bay Park Coffee used to be my neighborhood coffee shop & then I moved. Today, I drove out of my way, just to get an old favorite :) Bay Park Coffee doesn't disappoint. A typical neighborhood coffee shop with indoor & outdoor seating, welcoming baristas & staff, Bay Park Coffee is consistently delicious. I had the lox bagel on an everything bagel with the Honey Lavender Latte... this made for the perfect Sunday start.

Giving them 5 stars because for a long time I could see people having coffee dates and not fully occupied with laptop campers. Bravo for that. You made me believe again in human coffee shops with tons of fresh plants included. I got a drink called surfer latte and I enjoyed being there with the new name the barista invented for me (Camille) and listening to the conversations of people nearby. The most pleasant coffee shop I have seen lately.

I really enjoyed visiting this spot! There is plenty of inside and outside seating with a big open space looking in, the line was long Friday morning but moved quickly and once you order the wait isn't very long The pistachio vanilla latte was so creamy and delicious with that perfect sweetness and nutty flavor Parking isn't the best but I will definitely be returning!

This place is great. The ambience is very chill. We were able to snag a table outside under some shade and it was very pleasant. Considering how busy they were, I was surprised at how detailed, attentive, and friendly the employees were. As out-of-towners, we had questions about the menu, and they didn't try to rush us or anything. We ordered tea (iced green and matcha) and breakfast, one egg sandwich and one açaí bowl. Everything was delicious and made with care. All in all, definitely a place to visit if you're in San Diego!

I thought this was a really cute coffee shop. My daughter and I went there on a Sunday and it had a pretty good line but still was easy to find a place to sit. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I love the garage style window that we were lucky enough to sit next to. We ordered an oat milk latte which was divine. It was one of the best I have ever tasted! We Aldo go a sesame seed bagel breakfast sandwich which was hot and tasty. I ordered the orange cranberry muffin with the sugar top. It was so good! Parking was ok but we parked in the neighborhood and had a block or so walk to the shop. I would highly recommend going. Check out my video that I made of it on my YouTube channel. https://youtu.be/QATwYPgo1V4

My friend who lives in San Diego recommended Bay Park Coffee. Parking is free for two-hours on the street - be aware of the street parking dates and times though. They do have some free parking spots at the front, too. Vibes are great here. There is an open window and outdoor seating with umbrellas. Those outdoor tables took over precious parking spots though. Coffee is great. Wifi is free.
